We had a wonderful Christmas! It started Christmas Eve with a special dinner that is traditional in my family. Just before leaving for my mom’s house, the kids decided to dress up (Esther as an angel, Jared as Joseph).

Before going to bed, Tom & I gave the kids each a present to open that night- new pajamas. My family used to do that every year, and I think I want to start the tradition, too. Here they are!

Tom took pictures of our Christmas tree that night.
We had so much fun the next morning! First was the stockings from Santa:
This was Naomi’s first Christmas! Here she is (so cute!) with her stocking- full of baby food.
Next we exchanged gifts with each other.

My favorite moments were when Esther read a book she wrote about Jared as a present for him (top left, above), and when she sang a song to her Rapunzel doll from the Tangled movie (bottom right, above).

And here she is opening what ended up being her favorite gift:
Later in the morning, we headed to the Avis’s for a brunch with the Hinds family. I wish I had gotten more pictures, but I think I was distracted by the yummy food.
Then, back home with my family for a phone call with my brother, Andrew. Andrew is serving a mission for our church in Canada. He’s been gone a year and a half and we miss him. But we’re so proud of him!
After the call, we spent a couple hours opening gifts from each other. I had left my camera at the Avis’s house, so I don’t have pics. (I took some on my mom’s camera, and can maybe add some later.) Here’s a cute one of Jared that my sister, Debi, took:

When Tom’s parents dropped by the camera, we found some added photos on it. That’s what we get for leaving it in the hands of some Hinds.
In the evening, we all went over to Debi’s house for a fantastic Christmas dinner. Debi did it all herself- beautiful turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, delicious rolls, salad, cranberry butter, and a fancy dessert.
A full and fun day for us all!
